It's true. This has been a very strong year for animation. Dreamworks continuing to flex their muscles well, Disney showing that they can make a great CGI film without Pixar's help, Norman allowing awesome stop-motion style animation to make a comeback, and of course Pixars first ever female-lead film.

Although, and I hope no-one takes offense at this, but I think that Pixar's entry was the weakest of this years big animated films. Brave wasn't bad by any stretch, but it trod on gtround that's been walked many times by other animated movies.

That is why the other films, which all tried something new, seemed better to me.

The second gathering of 2012's great animated films (which I've yet so see).

You captured the spirit of the characters and their films very well. The colors complement each other very nicely, too.
